FORGOT YOUR DETAILS?

Guide: David

I am an Alaskan! Living in Alaska for the last 12 years has been an amazing experience that I can't wait to share with others! Especially the joy of kayaking on the beautiful lakes and rivers offered in our great state! I have a unique knowledge of the secluded area we will visit to enjoy a hidden cliff outlook not overrun with crowds. I also have spent countless hours on the local waterways paddling and exploring. I love being out in nature and on the water and love sharing it with others!

Trip Length: 3 Hours

Trip Language: English

Group Total: Up to 4

Cost: $75 per person

Equipment: Included in Trip (kayaks, paddles, first aid supplies and life vests)

What you'll do

Lets go on a relaxed kayak paddling trip on the beautiful Kenai Peninsula! Known to locals as the "Alaskan Playground", the Kenai Peninsula is where even local Alaskans go to escape and unwind. I will guide you around Skilak Lake (or due to weather safety another gorgeous Alaskan lake on the peninsula may be substituted) enjoying the mountain views and Alaskan wildlife (possibly including eagles, loons, moose, bears, seagulls, ect.) This is a great time to take photos, chat or just enjoy the beautiful turquoise waters of Skilak Lake. After some paddling we will beach the kayaks for a short (5-10 minutes) hike/walk up a cliff which juts out and offers great views and very limited crowds. This is a hidden jewel where you will have time to eat a sack lunch (if you choose to bring one or a snack) and take in the views. After a 30-40 minute lunch / exploration break at the overlook we hike back to the kayaks, and spend the rest of the time paddling on Skilak lake.
